Ukrainian Spirit

I found out a few days ago, that my book, The Storm of Creativity, is being translated into Ukrainian by Publishing
Company "Arthuss" Llc. I was so moved by this, as I have been consumed by watching this unprovoked war on a country and people who love freedom which a tyrant wants to seize. Ukraine has the memory of the horrors of WWII and of Stalin’s holomodor and of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych’s turn around attack on the people in Maidan Uprising. Their spirit and fight in being on the right side of history is strong. I started looking for Publishing Arthuss on google and found their store front on Google maps and then found their profile on twitter. Their latest tweet reads: “Sharpen your pitchfork, read books, trust our defenders. Turn the pages of history & let’s keep doing our job. Every contribution to Ukrainian culture is important Every good word is important Let’s unite”
And then I found another tweet by the photographer Mishka Bochkaryov (@mishkabochkarev) with his message:
“My photo on a cover of Kyna Leski book “The Storm of Creativity”. Arthuss publishing, Ukraine adaptation. 🥰❣️🤼” His beautiful photo is above.
I am so moved by this. I want to make this happen….that the Ukrainian culture can continue–its art, its creativity. But first to stop the war.
As I am a descendent of Eastern Europe and a citizen of Poland, I am informed about the history of this part of the world. But I wasn’t paying full attention to the connections of Putin, Yanukovych, Manafort, Trump. This article by Seth Abramson, (Attorney, professor, Newsweek columnist, metajournalist, and New York Times bestselling author. Seen at CNN, CBS, HBO, BBC, CBC, The Washington Post and others) is the best, most comprehensive one I have found
I recommend reading it. And ways to help, from Yale Professor Timothy Snyder. And more ways to help.
